Let's face it writing your eBook is a lot of work. And if you're like most people you're having problems with discipline. Frankly, you're avoiding writing. You need some good old fashioned motivation. But why? Why is it so hard to motivate yourself? In this article, I'm going to address some of the issues that may be impeding you. In order to be motivated you need to be very clear on: in terms of present pain, future pain or future pleasure. Unfortunately, most of us are not clear on any of these points. By not being clear we allow ourselves to assess a value based, not on reality, but on our emotional opinion of value. This is usually less that the true real value because of our basic resistance. But what does this mean in terms of writing and not having the discipline needed to sit and write? And why are we holding ourselves back? First off, the word discipline is really a code for having to force ourselves to not avoid doing something. A much better solution is to create a situation which makes us want to write. There are three main reasons for not wanting to write. 2. You aren't clear on what you are writing. In many ways, this is the fault of the writing system you are using. Not the system you should be using but the one you actually use. Or it could be that you aren't clear on what you want to say. Maybe you don't have the knowledge to be comfortable with the topic. Or you haven't thought through the slant you should take with the work. 3. You aren't clear on why you are writing. There are a lot of reasons to write an eBook. What are yours? Money? Fame? Independence? Whatever they are you need to know. But that's not enough. You have to have a very clear opinion of what the future will hold for you. What will your future look like? If you don't have this view of the future then you'll find it difficult to motivate yourself. Do you want to read more free information like this?
