Times Are Changing, But Are You Willing to Change?

For those of you who have been selling online for more than a few years will have noticed sites such as eBay and Amazon where not the same as they those few short years ago. And if we dare go back to when eBay and Amazon first started out those sites looked nothing like they do today. OK the colours have always been the same and the names have never changed, but the look and feel of these sites and others have evolved over the months and years. Do these companies do this for fun? No way, they do it, because they know any business if they want to prosper and move ahead they must be willing to change.

But as humans we do not like change, we are happy and safe with what we know, we know the layout of the sites, we know where to click to get to a page, we know if we click that button this will happen. And when we click our favourite button and something else happens oh dear we are on the boards and forums joining many others moaning and complaining, guess what when we are surrounded by all these moaners and negative thinking others negative thoughts start to come out, and while all this is going on our business suffers due to the fact all our energies are going into this negative talk all because someone changed a button.

eBay and Amazon make these changes because the whole time they are doing research, looking at works work and does not work, and if they find your favourite button needs to go or be moved some where else, guess what - they change. If they find they need to change the order process because people need and want an easier access to the shopping cart - they change.

But how willing are you to accept this change? I cannot make you change, eBay or Amazon cannot make you change, only you can accept the change take hold of it and move forward. You can either embrace all the changes happening learn them, and how they benefit you and your business. Or you can go negative turn your back and walk away. It is up to you, but if you are prepared to accept the change you will benefit and your business will grow.

Each day the leading sites are always tweeking and changing layouts, listing, how the order process works, and you should also do this in your business, you need to learn to accept change and move onward and forward.
